Keychron K2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Version 2 with PBT Keycaps)
my K2v2 brown just arrived 15mins ago as i am typing now.
PROS: tiny, wireless, sturdy frame, RGB beautiful. 99/100 no doubt. shipping by DHL from HK to Toronto is much faster than I thought. no duty paid, great overall!
CONS: i read some complians about the PBT keycaps, but i am not sure what exact how it feels. as now i am typing on it, K2v2 gives a totally different feeling to my fingers comparing to the CORSAIR K70 RED i have been using for past 2 years. K2v2 keys are like.... can be easily shaking with little force but the CORSAIR's ABS keys are completely standing firm as you press on them. i am the guy who prefers strudy and firm when touching, so the k2 frame is awesome but the PBT keycaps make me very upset. but i think i will give it a try for a week then maybe get another ABS keycaps set.
OVERALL: very good product, worth the buy.
Keychron K2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Version 2 with PBT Keycaps)
Perfect keyboard for people who types a lot.
The keyboard was fantastic. So much so that I ordered another K2, but there are 2 major issues with this keyboard. The first is that it is extremely high off the ground forcing you to use a wrist rest. Secondly, the script on the PBT keycaps is very blurry and have a really bad quality to them. I had to replace them almost immediately. Wish I would of bought the keyboard with ABS keycaps in the first place in order to avoid this.
This is my first mechanical keyboard and despite of the fact that I really like it, I could say that there are a couple of spots to enhance.
The keyboard is TALL, very tall, you better get a wrist rest, second, my unit has a badfunction on the capslock switch, I know it could be normal, but you know. Also the sound is a little bit hollow right out of the box, brown switches aren't so noisy but the case helps to amplify a little, the switches work awesome, none of them felt rusty, scratchy or so, very smooth.
The keycaps are part of the worst, I really don't like the font used, also some of them don't let the light pass as they are supposed to do, you can find a couple of darker spots and lines on some of them.
The fact of the lack of spanish version makes me crazy, hope keychron consider that marketshare.
I hope you could lock the light key, sometimes you can hit it and light pattern changes but nothing to worry about (I got the white light version, if you made some on warmer light, I will buy another one)
I love the bluetooth option, If could, I will link my device to more than 3 devices (android use to be slower to link the keyboard and also moves a little some of the keys), the cord is very nice but little short, nothing to worry again l. Despite of that, works great on Mac, android and iOS (sorry, by now I don't have windows or linux)
