Keychron Wooden Palm Rest

This is my first time using a split keyboard, and I've had it for less than a month. I've adjusted the key settings a few times, and I'm still getting used to it. I'll skip the positives and focus on the areas where I think there's room for improvement:

Key Positioning: Since the keyboard is split quite far apart, my fingers often have to search for the right keys. It would be great if the bumps on the F and J keys were more pronounced than on a standard keyboard, or if the F and J keys had a distinct texture that would allow my index fingers to easily find their position. Perhaps I'll get used to it over time, but for now, it’s a bit challenging.

Connection Cable Length: The cable connecting the two halves of the keyboard is too short. Initially, I thought the short length might be to ensure synchronization between the two halves, but I found that using a half-meter iPad charging cable with dual Type-C connectors works well. I now have one half of the keyboard on the left side of my laptop and the other on the right, which feels much more comfortable.

Keyboard Height: The mechanical keyboard is much higher than my laptop. Although I’m using the wooden wrist rest you provided, it still feels like it’s not quite tall enough. When pressing CMD with my thumb and using my index finger to reach for C or V for copy-pasting, my thumb feels uncomfortable as it gets caught on the edge of the CMD key. I tried rotating the CMD key 180 degrees, but it didn’t help. Eventually, I switched to a slightly taller wrist rest, which resolved the issue. I later realized that the wooden wrist rest is actually perfect for use with a MacBook; the height is just right. It would be helpful if the bottom edge of the CMD key had a slope similar to the spacebar, which would solve this problem.

Distance to the Top Row: The top row of keys feels a bit far away due to the gap between the first and second rows. I often have trouble reaching the ESC key during frequent use, so I'm considering swapping the ESC key with M1.

That’s all. Overall, this is a pretty good keyboard. As a heavy keyboard user, I no longer have to twist my wrists while typing, and I’m less worried about triggering my carpal tunnel syndrome again. Thanks so much!
