Nice stealthy look, south LEDs are great.
The shine-through effect on these keys is somewhat disappointing. I expected them to work well with the south-facing LEDs on my Q6 Max board. Unfortunately, the black layer blocks and absorbs a lot of the light, making it more dim and casting shadows within the lettering. This is particularly bad on the long vertical number pad keys. They're a lot dimmer in person than my pictures would suggest, the camera seems to be boosting light levels significantly. Maybe if these were a 3-layer moulding, with white in between the clear and black they would be brighter.
On the positive side though, these do contribute to a very classy and stealthy look with their all-black tops and subdued side shine-through lettering. The lightly textured OSA profile PBT construction feels very good and satisfying to type on. I much prefer the way the deeper concave face and rounded corners on OSA keys feel compared to the more common Cherry profile. I have had issues with other PBT key sets, where the space bar ended up being slightly warped, causing binding, but thankfully the space bar in this set seems perfectly straight. All of the stabilized keys function perfectly.
Great quality, as always. I love the stealthy look when it's off. From now on, they'll be my mainstay keycaps for my Q6 max.
Material quality is very good, it feels great to type on those. As for the side-printed legend goes, if you wonder if they are as readable as top-printed caps: yes they are and as a bonus they look quite unusual and custom.
Just a small quirk of side-printed keycaps: since the LEDs shine toward the side of the print, some characters cast a shadow on themselves, which give an uneven-looking backlighting (see picture). Maybe it could be fixed with a additional layer of diffusive material on a next version?
